A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Man-edge-ment is an entry into VimJam2, the second game jam run by 8-bits-to-infinity and Vimlark.

You are the CEO of an administrative business. Your employees share an open plan office, but all is not well. Productivity has fallen, profits are on a knife-edge and now you need to appoint managers to address the problem. You can't hire any new employees, so your managers must come from within the office. Their job will be to boost productivity, but watch out for employee anxiety! How long can you keep the company running before it collapses?

Jam requirement: "Boss" - The managers and the player.
Jam theme: "On the Edge" - Both the business and the employees, profits and anxiety.

Diversifiers:
Retro Palette: I'm using a NES pallette for all assets.
Doing Your Part: I will contribute my sprites and, possibly, music (TBD).

This game sounds neat, and fits the theme/limitation in what seems like a unique way, but the gameplay...you're supposed to keep motivation high and anxiety low, but I can't tell if there's anything I can do other than restart segfaulted computers and promote managers, let alone how that affects motivation/anxiety. As a result, I was almost constantly in the red for several minutes, yet somehow wasn't losing?

Is there something I'm missing?

Tbh I kind of forgot to clarify in the instructions that the anxiety and productivity of managers, at the point of promotion, goes on to affect others'.

Also, to either win or lose the bar graph has to reach a certain average along its length.

Ah, so you need to promote managers when they're in a productive mood, and that's how you raise the company's productivity? I see.

Love The Game, The Theme And Requirement Work Perfect, Tho I Can't Get The Bar Out Of Red, I Love The Sound Alerts And The Cute Player, The Game Is Alot Of Fun And I Was Playing It For Hours, Almost. Hope You Contine Working On Your Game!

Thank you so much! I do want to continue to expand and refine. I have some decent ideas I think.
